This is the original prototype sample for my leather satchel that also converts into a backpack. The front panel is made from a warm orange cow leather, that has some wrinkling due to wear. The back panel is made from a light olive green/brownish leather with a suede type finish. This bag is still in excellent condition. This prototype was adopted from a previous design, and was used to test the strength and durability of my new convertible backpack design. All seams have been re-stitched with durable nylon thread, and all hardware has been replaced with newer ones. This bag which measures 16" long X 11"wide X 2" side width, will fit a 13” laptop along with a few essentials such as wallet, keys, notebook, pen and pencil, etc. When used as a shoulder bag, the strap length which is adjustable can be worn at a 52” length (including hardware) at the longest with a 26" shoulder drop, and 34” at the shortest with a 17" shoulder drop. Additional holes can be added to strap for a shorter wearable strap length. For durability and ease of wear, the strap leather is thicker than the body leather. This bag has been cleaned and treated with mink oil.

*Regular oiling with mink oil will protect the leather from external abrasions from salt, water, snow etc. Please note that mink oil should not be used on the suede parts of this bag.  Please use an appropriate suede conditioner instead.
